These are the views of some of our parents:
“Wonderful place for children to learn”
A unique place where children are taught so much more than the statutory curriculum. I'm constantly amazed at the wonderful opportunities the children are given.
"Moved our son here and have never regretted it"
Our son was unhappy elsewhere and count ourselves very lucky that Haslucks Green had spaces. He has thrived and progressed since starting here at the end of Year 4. The school has a happy atmosphere that has made him a different child. There is still an expectation of academic rigour and excellence but it is pursued within an encouraging and nurturing environment.
He has had a broad experience of different activities from learning a brass instrument, professional sports coaching, science fairs, architecture workshops.
The staff are approachable, reasonable and Miss Taylor leads with a calm and sensible attitude. Nothing gets passed her and she knows your child in a way that is very rare these days.
Even the school caretaker is loved and respected here as an integral part of the team.
I only wish we'd moved him earlier and that my older child had the chance to go here too.
"Haslucks - more than just the curriculum"
I find it incredible that staff at a a relatively small school, with comparably low levels of funding (Solihull LA), with a new curriculum to get their heads around, can find the time and enthusiasm to enrich the lives of my two children so greatly.
Of course they teach the full curriculum, and very well as it happens, but it is the other experiences that make this school such a wonderful place for our children to learn.
Not a week goes by when one or the other of my two children comes home with a letter regarding an activity or event they will be taking part in.
A huge well done to everyone at Haslucks Green Junior School - if only everyone could see just what you are doing for our little people!
